Dear Sirs,

In the 12 high pressure pumps which you have supplied fitted with your standard end covers it is possible to pull direct on to the bridge piece of the contact breaker when the cover is tightened up. You will agree with us that this is a dangerous feature and may lead to the breaking of the contact breaker bridge piece. We believe this has come about owing to the contact bridge piece being .060" shorter on the H.P. pumps than those on your standard production.

Will you please arrange that this is put right on all pumps now on order.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
