EXPTL. INVESTIGATION WORK.
BENTLEY & 20/25.

(1) Brakes Fading. Direct to 4 Wheels.
(a) Stiffer drums (water exclusion).
(b) M.Z. lining (Servo also of this test).
(c) Steel shoes.
(d) Thermo couple tests.
(e) Larger front drums.
Grylls.

(2) Axle Tramp.
(a) Variation with damping.
(b) " " frame stiffness.
(c) " " lining.
(d) " " king pin inc.(4º & 2º)
(e) " " longitudinal inclination.
(f) Effect of bumper damping.
(g) " " tyre pressure and tread.
(h) " " tyre size.

(3) Clutches.
(a) Repeat B.10 clutch which is O.K.
(b) Perfect oil seal on rear main bearing housing.
(c) New lightened clutch for Bentley p-23-A2 centre, M.Sch.4190.

(4) Brakes General.
(a) Elimination of jagger when wet and wet inefficiency.
Water exclusion scheme.
Axle control, improvement of stiffer type axle.
Effect of Hartfords.
Are jaggers affected by non-servoing front.
(b) Vacuum servos.
Test for reliability. Can they be fitted with reservoir to operate when engine dead.
Small vacuum servo as supplement to RR. servo.
