Experimental Test Report. The present engine coupling is located on spherical ends of the clutch hub and 1st. motion shaft, also it is required to bed on the ends of the blocks. It has been decided to do away with the spherical ends and only bed on the blocks. Road Test Report. Adopted By Springfield. Tested on 6.EX car and 49-GB car at Derby - run 4500 miles without trouble. Repair Dept agree that as long as the block ends take up end-play, this is sufficient. Drawing No. X No. 3435 Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
