1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.2/RH.{R. Hollingworth} 19th August, 1941. Your ref: FJR/KE. F.J. Robinson Esq., 49, Warwick Road, COVENTRY. Dear Mr. Robinson, Thank you for your letter of August 9th, with reference to carpet edging channel. Up to the present, I have heard nothing from Mr. Cripps. On May 1st, he wrote to us saying that he would see what could be done about making up some sample lengths for us. On June 23rd, we wrote asking him what success he had had, and received no reply. We telephoned him on July 19th, and from the conversation I gathered that he had lost interest in the job through not being able to fix up an appointment with Mr. Tate who is with this company, regarding some aircraft fasteners. Following this conversation, we wrote to him as per copy of letter attached. I think that you will agree that after undertaking to see what could be done, and considering the time that has elapsed, Mr. Carr should have at least, made some effort to produce what we require or have definitely written and said that he was not interested as in the four months that have passed, we could have got someone else moving on the job. If you will find out if anything is being done and if we may expect some lengths of carpet edging channel, I shall be much obliged. The matter has now reached the stage that we must know definitely one way or the other as soon as possible. Hoping you are well. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
