Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X7800 COPY OF WRITTEN NOTE. 'SS{S. Smith}' THIRD LAMP ETC. X.7800 X.4152 Referring to the central third lamp which seemed to vibrate rather a lot. Do you know where the vibration was coming from? We are rather afraid whether it was the whole crossmember which is not rigid torsionally. But if the flexibility is in the bracket, could you make a stiffer one by increasing the depth and section from .625 to .750 and making the material two gauges thicker. If was also thought that the number plate would be more visible and possibly have a better appearance if lowered until the top of the No. plate coincided with the bottom of the crossmember; the forged bracket being straightened out to suit.
