Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Robotham.

With further reference to Thermostat to Arrangement Drawing No.E.80893, we are despatching under separate cover one of these instruments, arranged with a filling which gives the result shewn in the accompanying graph.

We think that this fulfils the requirements expressed in your letter of the 10th instant.

If any variation is required please let us know; in the meantime, we are proceeding with the bulk pending the settlement of this detail.

In connection with the filling of these instruments, it would be as well to allow a tolerance of 5% in terms of the thrust developed at any given temperature; this is to take care of the differences in the natural spring of the bellows, and the amount of pressure necessary to overcome this spring.

Yours faithfully,

p.p. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd.

F S Effad
Midland Engineer.

PS. We should be glad if you will address any remarks affecting the technical features to the above address.
