The height of the Col du Laffrey is 3100 ft, and the road is such that we were able to run for most of the way all out in 3rd Gear at an average speed of 35 MPH. Going up the steepest portion our water temperature reached 97 1/2 °C, but did not boil in the radiator and no water was lost. The atmospheric temperature was not taken, but it was | ||
