Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WT5/HR.4.2.35. re 25 HP. PETROL CONSUMPTION. Chassis No. GMD-20. -------------------------- We have taken a petrol consumption test since you returned the above car and have compared it with GLB-30, a car fitted with the previous type carburetter. The two cars were driven together over the same course and at the same speed, the mileage covered being 45 miles. The cars were driven all out when road conditions allowed and the time taken for the test was 72 minutes. There was a very high wind at the time. DETAILS. ------- Distance. Petrol Used. Consumption. GMD-20. 45 miles. 3.75 gallons. 12 m.p.g. GLB-30. 45 miles. 3.00 gallons. 15 m.p.g. In view of the above consumption tests and Owner's attitude to have the old type carburetter re-placed as he was satisfied with the consumption previously, will you please let us know if this is the best consumption we can expect with the latest type carburetter. If so, then we shall have to put the whole matter up to C. and ask his agreement to revert to the old type carburetter. Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WT. | ||
