GOSHAWK WHEELS ETC. X.4240. X.3599

It is understood that the standard wheels are to be Rudge-Whitworth wire wheels which we prefer for simplicity, providing that they are likely to be as satisfactory as the Dunlops. I am advised also that they are £10 per set less than the Dunlops in cost. I understand that you are not waiting for anything from WW. about these. The second standard is to be the Michelin disc wheels as already fitted, but these will only be supplied to customers preferring this type; they probably can be supplied without extra charge.

I suggested that the magneto, its driving shaft and its wiring equipment will be supplied as an extra on the Goshawk and also we fit as an extra a set of louvres behind the radiator the-engi (with cowling) which will be operated by thermostat relay using the engine oil pressure. This scheme has been roughly sketched out and requires to be designed before it can be made experimentally. it is rather different to any other scheme so far seen by is as it will not hunt. The temperature maintained should be exact etc. and independent of the leakage of oil or the friction of the louvres, and also the louvres will close as the oil pressure fails when the engine is stopped.
