PP. C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. GWB. X3700 BY/Cgh{W Clough}8/K.{Mr Kilner} 30. 10. 28. RE ZENITH FILTER BREAKAGES. With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/9/H29 10.28., we have for some considerable time been urging the Zenith people to supply us with metal covers in place of the glass ones as this seems the only way out of the present difficulty with glass ones. The Zenith people have submitted a metal cover, but it was too short, and we have requested them to submit a corrected sample. We are again taking the matter up with the Zenith people with a view to urging the correct sheet metal cover, and immediately it is approved, we will then take steps to get same adopted on production.
