I should like a comparison with the B.I figures in the ~~SILVER RIPPLE~~ cot analysis P

Further to my memo. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/RG.{Mr Rowledge}1/DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom} 12.2.44. I have now investigated the trim and hardware items over and above those supplied by P.S. Co.

Estimating the weights of the above items as near as one can without previous data, I have arrived at a total weight of 310 lbs. This includes windscreen complete, glasses, seats, carpet, felt, headcloth, wood fillets, door handles (inside and outside) trafficators and even paint, etc. I may have missed something, but it does not appear obvious.

Add to this P.S. Co's estimate of (including their hardware) 500 lbs.
Trim etc. 310 lbs. [Handwritten] Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 320.
Should give an all up body weight of 810 lbs. [Handwritten] 820
Wings and Bonnet per P.S. Co's estimate 70 lbs.
Total body liability 880 lbs. [Handwritten] 890

This weight does not include Battery and spare wheel or petrol, water and oil lamps, etc. - items which are usually included in the total car weight.

I should like to add here that I think P.S. Co. have slightly understated their weight and my own estimate would have been about 20 to 25 lbs. higher.

However, allowing for that and Rolls-Royce traditional expensive tastes I shall be disappointed if the total weight (body, etc.) of 880 lbs. is exceeded by 5%.

It will be interesting to see how near (or not) this is without indulging in any cheese paring.
