cars. We are rather interested in the new Studebaker cars. We understand from local retailers that the only method of trying one is to arrange for their London people to send one up. We do not wish to go to this trouble to find out what we want to know. The point of interest to us is the silencer, they made rather a big shout about it at the Motor Show, and we would like you to try and get a run on one and take note of the silencing qualities.

In addition we should like you to buy a silencer. we do not mind paying slightly more for the article than the list price if you can, by this means, obtain one. We think that you can possibly do this for us better than Conduit St; we do not want to raise a big interest in the job.

We are not quite sure whether all three models are fitted with the type of silencer in which we are interested, if they are the one we want is the one fitted to the 26 HP. (6 cylinder) model. The silencer construction is something like this :- (the outer chamber is filled with turnings or something similar.)
