To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3806 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG6.7.28. CENTRAL OILING SCHEME. X 8980 With reference to BJ6/E5.7.28. The new scheme of lubrication is settled as far as design, it is now waiting for parts to be made. We have practically complete instructions for the Phantom but the 20 HP. is not complete. As it is desired to standardise the central lubrication on both cars at the same time, we are arranging that the 10,000 miles tests shall start about the same time. In the meantime, we are carrying out investigation work by running a chassis on the bumper, and also running a Phantom car on the road. We anticipate it will be about 2 months before we have a 20 HP. ready fitted with this scheme. We shall have the Phantom ready much earlier than this. As we have such an enormous amount of experimental work on hand, we do not want to push the Phantom ahead if we cannot standardise it until the 20 HP. is ready. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
