To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 81113 Cricklewood. Oct. 28th, 1936. Phantom III Exhaust Manifold. To confirm telephone conversation. I am sending up to you an exhaust manifold taken off a car during modification. It will be seen that the port is almost blowing owing to the manifold being on the short size in length. We know that manifolds become less in length with use, and alongate the location holes to allow for the construction. If however we are starting off with short manifolds a serious complaint is going to arise. The one in question was taken off chassis 3-A-Z and had run 88 miles. G.W.Hancock. | ||
