We send you herewith Coil No. 2495 returned by "N" Department as faulty and removed from 40/50-HP. Chassis No. 20-KG. We have tried this coil in the Test Department and find that we cannot obtain a spark, although it is possible to get a current through the primary. Please examine and report upon this coil, also state if you consider it will be satisfactory to return to "N" Department for further use in service, after you have repaired same (see EFC4/T21.8.23.)
