Dear Mr. Robotham,

DC-42 Carburetter No.2836 R.{Sir Henry Royce}

I am in receipt of your letter of the 16th inst. reference as above, with regard to the popping back on the 25/30 Engines, and must say that this is really news to me as I was not aware that the trouble was so prevalent.

I have made enquiries in our Service Station and find that we have only had two Rolls-Royce Cars in there since we started supplying you and in neither case was there a complaint of popping back. Therefore we have not had to deal with this complaint and so do not know much about it.

However, I am getting in touch with Mr. Fisher and will have a conference on the matter and will write you again next week.

If the trouble is actually due to carburation, as you suggest, then I am sure we can find a way out of the
