FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to Bd.{Mr Berend} Wer. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} SECRET. E4/M17.1.29. SS.{S. Smith} ENGINE SUSPENSION. X7005 We are expecting any moment to hear from HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} as regards the results obtained with SS.{S. Smith} engine mounted on rigid front feet and flexible feet with rigid friction at rear to scheme LeC. 2634. In the meantime we are drawing a rubber lined scheme of the type mentioned in E1/M7.1.29. as a possible alternative. This scheme has 4 rigid feet mounted on the engine and carried on rubber liners in the frame, crankcase expansion being allowed to parallelogram the rubber in the plan view. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} P S. We have just received your notes concerning rubber lined feet, and are proceeding accordingly. | ||
