Center-Fed Spring Inserts For Lubricating Spring Leaves of Motor Cars, Tramcars and Vehicle Springs of all descriptions where leaf spring type of springs are used. (Patented in All Countries). WHAT THEY ARE. CENTER-FED SPRING INSERTS are made from low carbon steel, .025 in thickness with a 1/4-inch slot cut through the center running length of each leaf to within one inch from the end, and oil is fed to each Insert by use of a high pressure oil gun, assuring thorough lubrication. WHAT THEY DO. Prevent formation of rust on spring leaves. Stop spring squeaks. Add to tire and gasoline mileage. Will greatly lessen depreciation of car. Will make any standard set of springs last as long as the car itself. Will eliminate a great amount of spring breakage. Add to the comfort of riding. HOW THEY DO IT. Springs are designed to absorb vibration, jolts and shocks, and when equipped with CENTER-FED SPRING INSERTS, we accomplish the designer's purposes, enabling the spring leaves to slide freely. It is easy to see why CENTER-FED SPRING INSERTS placed between each leaf and oiled regularly will increase the riding qualities of any car. In a test, a car equipped with CENTER-FED SPRING INSERTS was run a total of 38,600 miles. At the conclusion of the test there was no wear noticeable to the naked eye on either the leaves of the Springs or the Inserts. By the use of these CENTER-FED SPRING INSERTS, with their channel of oil between the leaves, proper lubrication is obtained, correctly, continuously, and 100 per cent efficient.
