1633 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}6/MH.{M. Huckerby} 29th. September 1937. Messrs. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr. A.E.Palmer. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 24th. inst. As regards the plating on the choke spindle, we should prefer to have this only to the extent of ¼" from each end, otherwise as before. At present they vary to upwards of ¾" at each end, plating being in the bearings and reducing the necessary clearance. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
