IGNITION COIL - SEC:8140. X.8710
R2/M.9.12.27.

We propose to test out a coil having the reverse order of construction to our standard, i.e. secondary winding on the inside and primary outside and for that purpose we have schemed out "D" Sch. 266.

For this one we have endeavoured to use several standard parts and in three cases where mouldings are required we propose to machine these out of solid pieces of moulded material. We suggest that Mr Brock's Dept. make this coil to get as near production conditions as possible, will you please put one in hand to L.O.P. D.71646.

Blueprints and parts required as hereunder:-

D.71633 - Cover for Base. - 1 off.
D.71634 - Connector. - 1 "
D.71635 - Centre Stud. - 1 "
+ D.71636 - Winding Support (Bottom). - 1 "
+ D.71637 - " " (Top). - 1 "
D.71638 - Insulating Tube (Primary) - 1 "
D.71639 - " " (Secondary) - 1 "
D.71640 - Core Tube. - 1 "
D.71641 - Arrgt: of Core. - 1 "
D.71642 - Stud. - 1 "
+ D.71643 - Terminal Plate. - 1 "
D.71644 - Coil Case. - 1 "
D.71645 - Section of Windings. - 1 "
D.71646 - L.O.P. Ignition Coil. -
D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Sch: 266. -

+ Make from solid pieces.

We are using wax paper for this coil and it will be necessary to order 100 yards X .00075 thick X 2.850 wide, also the parts D.71636/7 should not be made until the secondary winding has been produced and then if necessary we may have to adjust the diameters
