Dear Sirs,

X.4164.
X.2515. for the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark.

We are in receipt of your favour of the 31st. ult. with reference to the position of the main fuse in the three switchboards which we are making up for you. It would be very difficult at the moment to make any change in the arrangement of this switchboard, as it is already in process of manufacture. It would be quite safe, however, to experiment as to the correct position of the fuse in the circuit by installing, for experimental purposes only, a small separate fuse box which could be included in any circuit desired. We will arrange to supply you with such a fuse box in order that these experiments can be conveniently carried out.

We trust that this arrangement will meet the case.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. S. SMITH & SONS (M.A.D) LTD.

Archibald C. Lock.
Manager, Electrical Department.
