60° LOG BOOK. 25.G.VI. Week-end 8.1.38. This car makes one appreciate the raised engine mounting, also, that we have made some progress on suspension and steering. I think the steering on this car is tightening up. The brakes are the best feature on the car. They are well-equalized and effective. The choke valve on the carburetter does not appear to be standard as the engine will not run with the throttle in the closed position. The ammeter has fits of refusing to charge. I should like this to be investigated. It is interesting to note that this engine has never suffered from the 40 to 50 m.p.h. period as badly as the engine with the heavy crankshaft. The engine idling is very bad, and stops on the least provocation. The noise of the front suspension is not consistent. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
