HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1260 To all Chiefs. from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}3/T27.9.35. Recent events have brought very forcibly to my mind a decision arrived at by CJ.. He insisted that the policy of the Company should be that the Customer was always right, and that our chief function throughout the factory was to not argue but give the Customer all that he desired. I need not give you the circumstances, which are rather many, which have lead me to remind you of CJ's dictum that the Customer was always right, but to tell you, in case anybody might have forgotten, that this is still the policy of the Company.
