EAC.7. REAR SHOCK DAMPERS.

X7520
X2355

R.{Sir Henry Royce} objected to the rear shock damper connecting
rods on the car which came down here because of insufficient
ground clearance.

We have therefore made N. sch. 2324. (herewith)
suggesting how the ground clearance may be increased so that
it is greater than that under the brake drums, without an
excessively short connecting rod.

It will be seen that we propose a new top end to
enable us to approach the side member as closely as possible.

It appeared that the filter would be more accessi-
ble if arranged to come out from the outside, and we have
taken the opportunity of modifying the shock damper body in
order to bring this about.

This of course only applies to EAC. 7.

These modifications should be carried out before
EAC. 7. goes to France, but we suggest that it might be
advisable to wait a little while for comments from R.{Sir Henry Royce}
