UNIVERSAL PATTERN FOR THE PRODUCTION OF 3¼, 3½, 3¾ and 75 mm. BORE - 6-CYLINDER ENGINES.

Drawings : RE.269. RE.106.
RE.693. RE.136.

It has been agreed that we shall get such work done on this range of engines as can be put in hand without interfering with urgent war work.

We should therefore be obliged if you would complete this pattern as and when opportunity occurs.

We understood that this pattern would be entirely new and in no way based on the old pattern from which our existing 8-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines have been made.

The reason for this is that we wish to retain the old pattern for experimental modifications such as silent tappets, etc.,

The new pattern, however, will be used for the production engines of the various types.

We understand there are only about 750 man-hours required to complete this work.
