Contd. -2- EFC/T21.5.24. CONTROLLED Arranged ordinarily as a controlled machine:- (a) In the cold condition a balancing terminal P.D. of 12.4 volts is put up at 423 r.p.m. (Average of two machines).+ (b) In the hot 75°C condition a balancing terminal P.D. of 13.6 volts is put up at 482 r.p.m. (Average of four machines).+ (c) In the 75°C hot condition the peak output is(as shown on the sheet of curves) 12.4 amperes at 1120 r.p.m. (Average of four machines). engine (d) In the hot 85°C condition (again as shown on the sheet of curves) the peak output is 11.6 at 1080 r.p.m. (Average of four machines). The four machines investigated were relatively very consistent in their performance, so that the curves now given may, we think, be taken well as/represent-ative of what the performance of the machine will be on chassis service. + Equivalent chassis m.p.h. with 15/52 axle, 33.5 effective tyre dia. and 1 1/2 dynamo drive ratios, are:- (a) 8.1 m.p.h. (b) 9.25 m.p.h. EFC. 1 photostat attached. | ||
