Clutch Brake.
The clutch brake does not pull it up very definitely and one has to wait a long time (sometimes in heavy traffic it is embarrassing) for the clutch to stop.

Should not the clutch brake be engaged positively by the operating gear instead of depending on the minute endwise movement of the driven disc?

Clutch Pedal.
The pedal pressure is 50 lbs. We have cut our pressure down to 40 lbs. on the L.H. cars by rearranging the angles of the operating levers, (suggested by R.{Sir Henry Royce}).

For lady drivers one should not exceed 35 lbs.

If one could give the clutch pedal say 7" stroke like the brake pedal it would be possible to "gear down" the operating mechanism and get a lighter pedal pressure and smoother engagement.

We think perhaps the fabric coupling increases the tendency for the clutch to grab and shudder.

These are about all the points of any importance. You may be interested in them to check up the differences between the performance here and in England.

I don't want to exaggerate their importance, because we all agree that the engine is marvellous.

Kind regards.
