To SPT/Mr. Brock. c. EY. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X4079 X8710 EFC4/T26.4.27. IGNITION COIL CASES. Herewith we return to you the six redmanol coil cases which we had for insulation tests. We are quite aware of the fact that these cases are somewhat scratched on the outside due to the outer electrode which we used for test in its first form. Possibly you will be able to re-buff these so as to make them useable. We have now modified the electrode so that it can be applied to a coil case without producing appreciable scratching. It is not consider necessary to make the insulation test on every coil case, but we should like you to send us for test in this respect say one coil coil in every dozen, and if you will send these say once a fortnight we will ourselves conduct the necessary test as a check on the permanence of the material from the point of view of the trouble which has been found to occur on coil cases with this class of material. I think EY. and WD.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} will agree that such a check is necessary, and we now have apparatus by which this can be made, and a copy of the report will be sent to you in due course. In accordance with the above arrangement will you kindly send us a few more coil cases within the next few days. EFC. | ||
