X.2512 - PORTABLE CONDENSER TESTING SET

Further to our EFC4/T3.8.22, we have now considered in detail the various letters which have been received from :-

(1) Messrs. Nalder Bros.
(2) Messrs. Griffin & Sons.
(3) The Cambridge & Paul I. Co.
(4) G.E.C.Ltd.
(5) Messrs. Gambrell Bros.
(6) Messrs. W.G. Pye.
(7) Messrs. Gallenkamp.

Of the above, the first three have nothing to offer. The G.E.C. offer a galvanometer which we consider too large.

The only possibility is the galvanometer quoted by Messrs. Gambrell Bros. and the testing set quoted by Messrs. W.G. Pye.

As regards the former, we should like to accept their offer of having their sample instrument No.3103 on approval, and we accordingly return their letter herewith, so that you can arrange this.

As regards the suggestion from Messrs.W.G. Pye we find we have the necessary apparatus to make experiments ourselves and we might then be able to make up an apparatus, obtaining just the bridge portion of this from Messrs. Pye.
