BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [Stamped: ORIGINAL] DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M18.4.28. C. to Bj. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EAC.14. SUPPORT OF STEERING COLUMN. X7430 [Handwritten] Herewith we send N. schs. 2583/4/6. shewing proposals for stiffening the steering column on the sports chassis in accordance with R's instructions. N. sch. 2583. shews the arrangement as proposed by R.{Sir Henry Royce} in R3/M7.4.28. N. sch. 2586. is the arrangement which we saw on the bumping rig at Derby, and N. sch. 2584. is a further suggestion for stiffening the steering column itself. We are not sure which arrangement R.{Sir Henry Royce} will prefer and we suggest that nothing should be done until we hear from him. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
