Herewith a sample Oil Guage which has been submitted by the United Brassfounders & Engineers Limited, of Ormskirk, with a view to securing our business under this heading.

The sample submitted is put forward with a view to our testing the internal construction of the Gauge, and the makers state that, should bulk business result, the black finish would be considerably improved; in addition to which they would of course engrave the dial in line with our present standard practice, i.e. black background with white figures.

The Gauge is submitted by a firm who did considerable useful work for the Company during the War, so we should be glad of your early report.

ROY.{Sir Henry Royce}
