"The remarks about these tubes are as follows:-
"We are sending you today under separate cover some samples
"of Radiator Tubes made approximately to Messrs. Rolls Royce's
"drawing, from material we had available. These samples are
"to illustrate the quality of the material, and the strength
"of tube of varying thickness only, and must not be taken as
"being accurate to dimensions. The tube .005" thick will
"easily stand 15 lbs. air pressure, and we should be glad to
"hear whether Messrs. Rolls Royce consider them strong enough
"in other respects. There would of course be a considerable
"saving in weight should they be suitable."
