To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} E.5/HP.17.12.34. Centralised Chassis Lubrication. We understand the Experimental Dept. have had a chassis running about for some time fitted with the Bijur chassis lubricated system, in which the motive power is induction pipe depression. We should be glad to know whether this has proved satisfactory, as we are interested in it from the point of reducing the number of controls to be operated by the driver.
