R.R. 403A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} -5- EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. 9680 REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LCl.2.24. The brakes on this car worked well at times. A difficulty which we have the whole time with rear brakes is to get consistency. As we have pointed out previously, when once one has experienced equal braking on all 4 wheels, one becomes very critical on equalising. A driver will not complain of a car which has only rear brakes and one of them is doing most of the work, but he will complain when it has 4 brakes and only 3 of them are effective. We have had great difficulty on our cars to get the four brakes to work equal. We think this is probably due to the semi-servo and also to the variations possible on the present servo. The reports on the cast iron liners show that we still get inconsistent braking. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
