One feels that in the improvements we are introducing in the 25HP. all the above will be incorporated.

For the 45HP. we need to test the present shaft with the 4 system of balance, using counterweight as heavy as we can, governed by the master period, up to running balance of the crankshaft only. We cannot expect more until the shaft is again strengthened for torsional stiffness, which I do not propose to do at the present.

Also for the 45HP. we must provide the most favoured suspension - i.e. diamond, with soft diabolos. At the same time we must stiffen up the crankchamber by the box flange along the bottom half.

Something might be done to the clutch and flywheel to make it more like the 25HP. which would overhang less, and seems a less costly design.

The work is very urgent and should be a great improvement to the 45HP.

At once we should arrange to counter-balance all car crankshafts just as much as the master period will allow.
