ACCIDENT TO 15-EX.

Extract from letter from PN.{Mr Northey} to CWB. 29.3.28.

Grand Hotel,
Monte Carlo.

.......... From the beginning I wrote that the steering on 15-EX was at the higher speeds, unselective and tendency to wander, but this characteristic would not account, in my opinion, for the two reported skidding incidents with you and Grylls, who are both highly skilled drivers. As I have already written, in connection with this affair, I feel that some additional influence must at times been at work, such as a binding differential on one set of brake shoes on one wheel. I feel strongly about this and should like the point carefully gone into. Such skids, which cannot be controlled, cannot happen, fortunately, with a normally functioning car
