Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}13/R.2.4.37. re: 35-EX. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E.1.4.37. Waller, who was over here the day after the Easter Holidays, said that the clutch on 35-EX was greatly improved since the fitting of the stiff half shafts. No other alteration was made to the clutch at the time these shafts were fitted. The clutch lining on this car, known as VM.20, is the same lining as we tried on several Trials cars, and which was turned down for bad take-up. It was fitted to 35-EX because at that time we considered it remained a consistently better clutch than the standard rubber material. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
