X. 4284 b Oy4 - G 161121 Nov. 16, 1921 Mr. Claude Johnson, Managing Director, Rolls-Royce Ltd., London, England. Attached copy for Mr. Hives. Dear Sir:- Re: American Ignition Parts Mr. Hives writes on October 12 with regard to the American ignition parts which had just been received. (a) Bijur Distributor Board: We note Mr. Hives' comments on this, namely, the desirability of avoiding the danger of causing a set in the spring clips carrying the fuses, and the desirability of using brass screws for the terminals. These matters are being taken up with the suppliers. (b) Delco Switch: With regard to the appearance of the Delco switch, we agree that this could be improved somewhat and are aiming to do this, not perhaps with Delcos, who are very difficult to handle in such matters, but with any future suppliers of this type of switch. In explanation of this, it may not be always possible to obtain these switches from Delcos unless we should adopt Delco ignition, which might not be desirable.
