5 Here is a type of ball bearing which is fitted with a split bush conical on the outside so that it can be tightened on a parallel shaft, not necessary exactly to size, you could use this or by using the same bearing make the shafts conical & fit it with a nut (short quick taper easily removed thus).

complete or housing that can be left behind. It would have to be timed by key or stead pin so that oil screw hole comes right.

You must be able to get ball bearing off shaft and put another on. If you said it would be better if both bearings were the same size and type so that one spare could be carried. x

I could not tell what design of brush holder & rocker you propose to use, have you a new standard brush holder have you no stock to use up. x

The insulation of terminals &c might be bakelite Tube rather thin with ebonite washers very thick so as to give good taping, the two thick washers would get the extra insulation at corner. Dampness & water seems to break down this type of insulation unless well done.

I hope to write you further tomorrow - Today I must catch the mail you ought to get this Monday or Tuesday morn.
Yours Sincerely
FHRyce
