RECEIVED With reference to an old note of yours MCS/139P, would you please note that all the experiments quoted therein should be cancelled. There is, however, one point outstanding in connection with the epicyclic gear Oldham joint, and that is the head of the anchor plate and the clearance with the bolts passing through the joint. I understand from Mr. Royce that there is a better design of anchor plate without a bead and allowing greater clearance for the bolts which should be tested and standardised as soon as possible.
