Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

As we pointed out in our note we sent you the other day, we are prepared to sacrifice mileage in order to get more complete information of the troubles you have.
For instance, we should like more particulars on the point where you state - the throttle would not close through grit. We have looked into this and we cannot at the moment see how this could occur.

We should like to know what you attribute the cause of - 2 tappets being found with no clearance. Is it the tappet rod which is bent?

We want more particulars as regards the failure of the exhaust pipe - we should like a sketch shewing where it failed. We should like you to give reasons as to how you think it failed and how the failure can be avoided in future.

We should like more particulars as regards the rivets which have come out of the bonnet fastener.

We should also like a note from you explaning how the car is being driven. We do not think it is very useful if the car is simply crashed over very bad roads. You and I drove the car to the south of France and we got certain impression as to what it was like. I should like to know how much worse the conditions are under which the car is being run at present.
