x204 To EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. LHB. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}3/HP.19.5.34. Bentley - Front Body Brackets. With reference to EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/IH.18.5.34, we should like to point out that Park Ward's fitted the first experimental bodies and they themselves fitted the extra body bracket. We understood at the time that it was their practice to do this on 20/25 HP. cars and we vaguely remember them telling us that they thought we should supply this bracket on all our chassis. It is, therefore, not quite correct for Park Ward's to state that they discovered these brackets on an experimental car. We have handed your sketch to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and have asked him to look into the question of bringing it on as standard as early as possible. We should like your views on the Rolls-Royce chassis as this appears to require it equally as much as the Bentley. E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
