The following points were shewn to me at Sales last week :-

We cannot use the brass clips that hold the side light wires to the wings. On the cars mentioned to me it appeared that the wire was not carried up the wing stay as shewn in our design, but became out of an independent hole and up the side of the wing. We very much wish to revert to our original scheme, and when the wiring reaches the top of the wing it can run across to the lamp unattached. This is done on the 40/50 at the present moment and we do not seem to receive any complaints. The brass clips would damage the paintwork on removing the wing. The mud collecting on the wing stay would have no ill effects. We have instructed a hole at the base of the stay to drain the water out, but curiously enough on the cars we have noticed this appears on one side only. All stays should be treated alike.

The wing stay remains a part of the wing always. The wings are detached by unbolting at the side channel, therefore the bolts should be left amply long at Derby as previously instructed. The nuts should be locked by Glover washers, not riveted over as at present.
