Adjustments made to brake springs and shoes to address squeaking.

( 2 ) GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/3/JAB.13.5.36 too light? The springs were only being compressed .150 which does not give sufficient load. We have fitted two washers under these springs .010 thick and set the shoes with .012" clearance. This has cured the front squeaking. The rear Brakes are still squeaking. At the moment we have not altered these but the pilot shoes had not more than .008 movement and were weak. As the axle has got to come out, we are not at the moment making a thorough examination. ---------------- G.W.H. | ||
