Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.9/MA13.3.35 I note you have had several instances of radio sets being badly fitted and that you recently had an outbreak of fire due to such bad fitting. I quite agree that it is an urgent matter and am pleased to note you are going to interview Philco and E.K.Cole. I should be interested to know the cause of the fire, as I think we might tell our Inspecting Engineers, when they have an opportunity of seeing a Bentley car fitted with a wireless set, to examine the installation, and if necessary warn the owner. Of course, we have had a number of instances where the bad fitting has caused bad running of the engine, and, we suspect, the running down of batteries; but I do not remember one where it was actually a source of danger.
