GRX +306 To Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} from HDY.{William Hardy} SECRET. HDY.{William Hardy}2/HP.2.7.35. c.c. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} De. RMO. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Horizontal Hand Brake Lever - SpectreCodename for Phantom III. We understand that 25 levers to N.Sch.4390 as fitted to 3-S.-1 are ordered outside and delivery is expected tomorrow. Would you kindly withhold orders for any more of these levers until we have come to a decision about the best proportions. On 3.S.1. the lever handle is packed up 1" above the off position as shown on N.Sch.4390 in order to give clearance for the hand which was insufficient owing to the floor surface when all matting etc. was down coming higher than expected by us. As the upper position of the handle is unaltered the travel of the handle becomes 7" instead of 8". It may be found necessary to have not less than 8" travel and if it is not possible to make clearance in the body floor surface locally for the handle it appears that the curved part of the lever must be lengthened.
