In the meantime provision can be made for getting the new excluders on all future cars subject to our tests. Whilst the cars are available for having the pivot pins checked, we should like the following points to be dealt with :- (1) Examination of axle control as per Depot Sheet. (2) Check over the Petrol Pumps as per Depot Sheet. (3) Change the pinion thrust race in rear axle as per Depot Sheet. Three failures have recently been reported in service. With regard to the length of time that the customers' cars will be required, the axle control and pivot pins takes about 10 hours, checking the petrol pump about 1/4 hour, changing the thrust race in rear axle 2 hours. These times are given assuming that the car is at the Depot. If the work is done at the customer's house they are of course subject to correct tools and facilities being available.
