With reference to BY/Cgh.{W Clough}7/G.2.1.35, the point which you raise was referring to item 3, 1" larger diameter road wheels and special road springs to give 2" more ground clearance. We have discussed the matter with BY/Cgh.{W Clough} and he will be writing to you to confirm that he meant to say 1" more ground clearance due to the road springs, and a further .54" on the tyre if 5.50 x 19" tyres are fitted. We think that this additional ground clearance should be sufficient to make the car reasonably under American conditions, but possibly Mr. Collyer will let us know in due course.
