Continental Touring Saloon. 32-EX. Special features added to Design of 32-EX since the original approved Specification EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN.3.1.35 was sent to Park Ward & Co. 1. Revised design of Body Mounting - LeC 4382, LeC 4365, LeC 4364 and LeC 4362. 2. Sheet Steel floor to rear boot, specially braced to transfer side thrust of transverse mounting stays to the main section of the body - felt, lino or rubber covered. 3. Steel under panel between contrail and roof rail (S.Wg.{Mr Gill - Financial Director}20), bolted and screwed to these members and the ties. 4. Special steel reinforcement to the screen pillar, the screen rail and the bottom side. (Both 3 and 4. have been proposed to achieve objects illustrated by the Cadillac Body.) 5. Outside door hinges. 6. Buick door dovetails. 7. Modifications to bottom side, floor and front sliding seats to suit the pull-up type side brake lever. 8. Improved design of Top Scuttle Ventilator to deal with the very short scuttle. 9. Ecko Wireless Set in instrument board and speaker behind rear squab. - Counterpoise earth under bottom side of body. 10. Sheet Aluminium rear seat board damped by felt. 11. Body panels to be damped by some sound absorbing material, such as Limpet, Vol-crepe, Rubberized Asbestos, Silento, Seapak, etc. Contd: | ||
