For the attention of Mr. C. S. Steadman.

Dear Sirs,

Your Reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.11/MH.{M. Huckerby}

Refer, please, to your previous letters of July 5th, 18th and 19th respecting V-Belts. Our information is now prepared for discussion with you.

We have equipment materials, and are prepared to supply you with belts exactly the same as made by Goodyear, Akron, Ohio. These belts are of the endless cord construction, of a design that has been proved by car manufacturers to be highly satisfactory for the fan drive of cars and commercial vehicles.

Each belt is individually made, requiring special tools and equipment. The quantity of Belt No. 89343 as stated in your letter, is 200 annually. This makes the tool charge applicable to it very high. On subsequent orders the price would be brought closer to that of Belt No. EW.1775.

Price:
E.W.1775.. 2s.5d. each. nett.
E.89343.. 6s8d. each. nett.

Separately a sample belt has been mailed you. This is intended only to show the construction. It does not conform to the sizes of the belts you would require.

We feel obligated to point out that the H.P. requirement as stated in your letter of the 19th is extremely high. Such a load requires a belt of unusual strength and freedom from stretch. We offer our belt has having these qualities in the highest degree. It may, however, be advisable to discuss this with you. Mr. Perin, our Technical Manager, and the writer will gladly arrange to visit you at any time that would be convenient to you.
